This Lotus Flow Yoga class is an energetic class that uses vinyasa to connect movement with the breath and awaken the body, mind and spirit. This class is aimed at the seasoned beginner who has at least 3 months of a consistent yoga practice and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. Advanced variations are taught along with modifications.
This class includes sun salutations, fundamental standing postures, balance postures , some arm balances, backbends, and inversions. We recommend that students seeking to take this classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Suitable for all levels. "VIN YIN" is a combination of vinyasa flow and yin yoga. A blend of yang/yin; the first portion of class utilizes the heat of vinyasa flow to warm up the body, and is then followed with the cooling stillness of passive longer hold yin postures to target the joints, connective tissues, and fascia. Yin poses are floor based and supported with props to create as little effort while holding for 2-5 minutes.

It is designed to work the body to the core, helping to loosen the joints, and get the blood flowing. In Yin yoga we target the connective tissues, such as tendons, ligaments and fascia, along with the energetic systems of the body, bringing the body into balance and increasing it’s natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 3-5 minutes. This practice will leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and restored. Postures held for longer periods give practitioners the opportunity to observe and bring awareness to the breath and sensations in the body. The Yin practice is a wonderful compliment to a more vigorous yoga practice, running, cycling, or other more active pursuits.
Great for beginners. This class introduces the fundamental postures of yoga, proper alignment for YOUR body, and how to link the breath with movement. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, modifications and stability within each pose. If you have never tried yoga this is the class for you. It is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses.
