I love this quote!! It is a daily reminder to put the bat down, stop beating yourself up, and realize that we are all a WORK IN PROGRESS! Trusting the journey we are on, and realizing it will NEVER be perfect is an act of surrendering to controlling every outcome. I believe that obstacles are our greatest teachers!

"You can't calm the storm, so stop trying. What you CAN do is calm yourself, the storm will pass!"


Doing this is simple, but not easy, and just like our yoga practice, changing our thinking and behaviors is also a practice. As a teacher at Lotus Yoga and Fitness in Ormond Beach, I constantly talk about these practices with my students. It wont happen overnight, but when we can learn to let go and to allow our lives to unfold naturally, we can achieve happiness and peace.
